About She Dreams In Color™ Foundation

Stigma and money are the top two barriers to mental health care, we address both. We raise money to provide mental health therapy funding for marginalized women. Local private practice therapists are reimbursed $100/hr for their services. $800 provides an eight session care plan for a woman in need. We also work to destigmatize mental health needs and seeking care through our storytelling, online interview series & podcast, community gathering events, and use of art and other healing modalities to initiate conversations and care. Our work is based on national research, the Leading On Opportunity report, and other Charlotte/Mecklenburg County needs assessments.
