About Shearwater Films

We are a documentary film company based in Manhattan, New York - but our passion for telling stories that illuminate social issues takes us around the globe. Our films give voice to people who would otherwise have none, and our ultimate goal is always to bring positive change to the communities we cover. We focus on character-driven pieces; we strive for the highest possible aesthetic; and we believe that a story worth telling is worth telling well.
