About SHIELD the Future

Technology shapes our lives every day, but who shapes technology? SHIELD is building a global alliance to ensure the voices of individuals and communities most impacted by tech are heard, valued, and empowered. SHIELD is a collaborative platform that connects and supports communities, especially those often excluded from global conversations, to lead efforts that build safer digital spaces and guide responsible AI development. By reducing fragmentation and amplifying collective impact, SHIELD helps changemakers work together across borders and sectors. We operate through three core programs: Global Alliance Network: Connecting changemakers across regions to foster collaboration. Project Catalyst Initiative: Supporting impact-driven projects with resources and partnerships. Voices of SHIELD Program: Amplifying lived experience and leadership from communities closest to the challenges. Our network includes grassroots organizations, researchers, technologists, public institutions, and funders; all working together to shape a more inclusive and ethical digital future. Join us to build shared leadership, elevate underrepresented voices, and co-create solutions that matter.
