Shine On Productions is a team of highly experienced creative and event industry specialists, dedicated to producing and delivering world-class cultural events and festivals. Formed in 2021 by Merryn Hughes and Julie Brooks, two world-class event producers on the national and global stage, Shine On Productions has a proven track-record of delivering events which attract large audiences and create economic development opportunities for community. Shine On Productions bring together teams of some of Australia’s most experienced festival, ceremonies, and major event production personnel, who are bound by a common culture, shared values and a total commitment to creating outstanding, authentic, and meaningful cultural events and festivals. Shine on Productions is passionate about designing and delivering projects in Australia which are created for and by Australians to tell OUR stories which showcase our unique culture to all Australians and international visitors. Shine On Productions' major project is Shine On Gimuy, a multi-arts, cultural and ideas festival in Gimuy/Cairns, Queensland of October each year. The event is led by Artistic Director, Rhoda Roberts AO, Executive Producer, Merryn Hughes, and Cultural Producer, Lydia Miller.
