About SHOONG FAMILY CHINESE CULTURAL CENTER

The Shoong Family Chinese Cultural Center (SFCCC), has stood as a pillar of cultural heritage preservation and community life in Oakland Chinatown since 1953. Our mission is to nurture the next generation through education, cultural celebration and community building, so they can thrive. Each week, we serve over 500 youth with affordable Cantonese and Mandarin classes, visual and performance arts, sports, leadership and wellness activities. As a proud nonprofit community center, we are inclusive, serving K-12 students from many ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. We offer year round programming and serve the working class families of Oakland Chinatown.
