About Shutup & Play Studios

Recording Studio & Effects Pedal Farm Professional Organic Pedal Farmer — Since 1976 Member and Founder – Tone Farmers Union, est. 1961 One summer when I was a kid, I picked cherries to save up for a guitar and amp. I found an ad: 1 Gibson SG and a 4x12 Gibson amp—$300. I had exactly $300. The seller, a kind human, threw in a box of effects pedals, some working, some not. One caught my eye: a bright yellow MXR Distortion +. It didn’t work—but I was determined to hear it. I learned how to fix it, and my life was never the same. That spirit still drives everything we do. Shutup & Play Studios is a creative space for musicians, tinkerers, and tone chasers. We offer full recording services, buy and sell pedals, do mods and repairs, and help artists find gear that works for them. We also invite folks in the Eugene area to come by and try out pedals in a real studio environment—because the best gear is the stuff that makes you want to play more.
