About Sierra Leone Permanent Mission to UN Geneva
The Permanent Mission of Sierra Leone to the UN in Geneva works under the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Member States of the United Nations, as well as the UN Agencies to promote and develop policies that aim to strengthen and achieve effective international action on global issues such as human rights, humanitarian action, trade and Intellectual Property Rights, and disarmament, in conformity with Sierra Leone’s foreign policy. Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sierra Leone to the United Nations and other International Organisations in Switzerland, H.E. Mr. Lansana Alison Gberie, is the head of the Mission. The personnel of the Mission are drawn from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and local staffs from Switzerland.
