About Sim Impacting Lives Foundation (SILF)

Sim Impacting Lives Foundation (SILF) is a Nigerian non-profit and non-governmental organization committed to improving the wellbeing, resilience, and economic independence of vulnerable populations through integrated, inclusive, and sustainable interventions. The organization was established to address the underlying drivers of poverty, inequality, and social exclusion by delivering solutions that are both responsive to immediate needs and transformative in the long term. SILF operates through a clearly defined three-pillar strategic model encompassing Women and Youth Empowerment, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and Humanitarian Response. These pillars are designed to function in a complementary and interconnected manner, enabling the organization to provide holistic and continuous support across the full spectrum of vulnerability. Through this integrated approach, SILF is able to respond to urgent humanitarian needs while simultaneously building the capacity of individuals and communities to recover, adapt, and achieve sustainable livelihoods. The model ensures that beneficiaries are not only supported during times of crisis but are also equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resilience required to thrive beyond it. At the core of SILF’s work is a strong commitment to inclusion, equity, and dignity. The organization prioritizes populations that are disproportionately affected by social and economic challenges, including women and girls, young people—particularly those who are unemployed or marginalized—persons with disabilities, survivors of gender-based violence, internally displaced persons, and communities affected by crisis and deprivation. SILF recognizes that these groups often face multiple and overlapping barriers that limit their access to opportunities, services, and support systems. As such, its programs are intentionally designed to be inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the unique needs of each group
