About Sing Up Foundation

The Sing Up Foundation is a UK charity on a mission to improve children's and young people's mental health and wellbeing through singing. With 50% of mental health problems established by age 14 and 75% by age 24, early intervention matters. The evidence is clear — singing works. Extensive research supports its physiological, social, psychological and behavioural benefits, particularly group singing. We translate that research into action — producing resources, training and guidance for teachers, music practitioners, mental health professionals and policymakers. Our work sits at the intersection of music education, mental health and evidence-based practice. What we do: - Produce and share research-informed resources for educators and practitioners - Connect practice with the latest research evidence - Support workforce development in schools and community settings - Explore and highlight effective practice through case studies and pilot projects 🎙️ We also produce Inspiring Voices — a podcast exploring the intersection of singing, music and mental health. 📚 Explore our research, resources and case studies: www.singupfoundation.org 💙 Support our work: www.singupfoundation.org/support-us Registered Charity: 1172438 | Part of the Sing Up family
