SLANG Global is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding, language acquisition, and empowerment. Our mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of the Spanish-speaking African Diaspora across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the USA while also advancing workforce development in these regions. Based in both North Carolina, USA, and Enugu, Nigeria, our organization serves as a nexus for educational and intercultural exchanges. We host programs focusing on cultural uniqueness and history, providing transformative experiences bridging continents and nurturing global connections. Our initiatives are not only hosted at our headquarters, El Centro Cultural Azúcar, in Nigeria, but also online and at universities throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and the USA. We believe in the transformative potential of education and cultural immersion, striving to create enriching experiences that empower individuals and communities worldwide. With a diverse team, including remote staff members, we leverage our collective expertise to drive positive social change.
