About Slow Talk
Slow Talk is dedicated to changing how power forms and who wields it. We are combining frontier tech with age-old wisdom to build a more deliberative and representative way for people to be heard — and elevate leaders who prioritize service over spectacle. We started with healthcare because it's the issue that touches every single one of us — and it's buckling. We chose to begin with nurses because at a time when trust is in scarce supply, they have been the most trusted profession in America for over 20 consecutive years. We believe that trust should = power. Slow Talk makes it easy for people to participate in intimate, structured conversations at scale — where diverse voices can speak candidly and be genuinely heard. Then we use AI and human judgment to surface the wiser collective voice that emerges when people deliberate. Faithfully. Anonymously. What emerges is a qualitatively rich and quantitatively rigorous analysis that we amplify to the public and to the leaders who need to hear it — so that together, we drive change. Slow Talk is a mission-first public benefit corporation. We're now building off our foundation in healthcare with nurses to engage the public more broadly. The ultimate aim: help people exercise the agency they deserve on the issues that affect them and elevate service-oriented leaders who develop responsive solutions and cultivate trust — over attention agents who develop reckless slogans and exploit fear.
