Our mission at SMA CORES, Inc. is to transform the way we design, build, and repair structures through the use of Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs): a class of metallic materials with unique thermomechanical abilities. We analyze, design, and develop real-life SMA-based structural technologies. SMA products offer transformative ways for reinforcing, repairing or prestressing structures. They offer the construction industry with quick fix for longstanding problems that no other material can fix using “thermal prestressing” and “super-elasticity”. With SMAs there is no need for hydraulic jacking, excessive hardware or labor. SMA is the perfect solution for cutting down construction time and increase productivity.
