About Smart Associates Limited

Smart Associates is an independent database engineering consultancy with over 20 years of expertise keeping enterprise data platforms running — and making them smarter. Founded in 2003 and trusted by organisations across the UK, Europe, and Asia Pacific, we've built a reputation for deep technical rigour, honest advice, and long-term partnerships. Our team includes former Netezza engineers from the pre-IBM acquisition era. DATABASE SUPPORT & PLATFORM LONGEVITY We keep mission-critical databases running. IBM Netezza (including N4001 and Cloud Pak for Data), PostgreSQL, and Oracle — with 9×5 and 24/7 managed support, hardware replacement, and end-of-support migration planning. NZ Controller delivers security-hardened, remotely managed appliances. DATABASE GOVERNANCE & OBSERVABILITY Smart Management Frameworks and Smart Data Frameworks provide control across replication, access management, system health, and data quality — extending beyond Netezza to PostgreSQL and Oracle. PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS & MACHINE LEARNING Feature Factory is our open-source MLOps platform that runs production machine learning inside your existing database. No data movement. No seven-figure budget required. GDPR, CCPA, and EU AI Act compliant. Netezza first — next platforms shaped by customer demand. Our customers drive where we go next. That's the only roadmap that makes sense.
