About Smiles and Hearts Foundation

💛 Smiles & Hearts Foundation Where Smiles and Hearts Change Lives The Smiles & Hearts Foundation is a U.S.–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization empowering children, women, and communities in rural Africa—starting in Limpopo Province, South Africa—through education, safety, and dignity. We believe lasting transformation begins with opportunity, not charity. By listening first and partnering directly with teachers, principals, and community leaders, we deliver sustainable, hands-on tools that make a measurable difference in daily lives. Our flagship project, STEM for Reenpan, provides portable science labs and teacher training to rural classrooms where students once learned about science only from chalkboards. Each lab turns words into discovery—bringing microscopes, magnifiers, and real experiments to hundreds of learners for the first time. This community-driven model ensures every initiative supports local educators, builds capacity, and fosters long-term progress. Beyond STEM, we are developing literacy and library programs, women’s empowerment and safety initiatives, and scholarship opportunities for students from low-income families. Every action reflects our mission: To empower and uplift communities by promoting education, safety, and well-being—one classroom, one family, and one community at a time. 🌍 Our Core Values • Compassion – Meeting people where they are with love and understanding. • Education – Opening doors through access to quality learning. • Dignity – Ensuring every person is seen, valued, and respected. • Empowerment – Providing tools, not handouts, for sustainable change. • Community – Building hope through collaboration and shared purpose. Together, we can turn compassion into action and change lives through education, empowerment, and hope.
