About Solitude Lab

The Solitude Lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of solitude and its impact on human experiences. Our research explores people's internal experiences when they are in solitude, aiming to uncover how solitude impacts emotional well-being, cognitive performance, and mental health. By combining rigorous empirical research with interdisciplinary perspectives, we strive to challenge common misconceptions and provide a nuanced view of solitude as an adaptive and essential experience in today’s fast-paced world. At the Solitude Lab, we are committed to producing research that not only contributes to academic knowledge but also has practical implications for individuals and communities. Our work is driven by a passion for understanding the complexities of the human experience and a belief in the power of solitude to enhance life quality.
