In January 2019, Prenetics, a leading global genetics and digital health company, acquired Soma Analytics. Soma is one of Europe's most awarded companies in the digital health and wellbeing space. From its offices in London and Munich, it serves clients worldwide with patent-pending smartphone applications and analytics. Soma combines advanced techniques in psychology and computer sciences into a product that measurably improves staff wellbeing and advances HR strategy to create the future of work. Its Kelaa smartphone app is driven by artificial intelligence and reduces the costs associated with employee absenteeism, presenteeism and turnover, while increasing employee resilience, productivity and engagement. Soma Analytics, backed by the Horizon 2020 research fund, is also running the first large-scale randomised controlled trial (RCT) looking into reducing stress in the workplace using a smartphone.
