About Soma Media Inc.

💬 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 — 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Soma Media Inc. was founded in April 2000 — not by building software, but by being inside events. We captured conferences for some of the largest associations in North America: ACM SIGGRAPH, AVMA, WVC, BCBS. We developed processes to record high-fidelity presentations — slides, animations, live video — and deliver content in HD within 24 hours in multiple formats. That work led to 4.5 years with Microsoft encoding their PDC, MIX, TechED conferences. That field experience taught us something no spec sheet could: what associations actually need when the stakes are high and thousands of attendees are depending on everything working. 🛠 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗞𝗮𝗱𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. Registration, check-in, CE tracking, lead retrieval, session management, staff tools, gamification — built by people who ran these events, not people who observed them. 🤖 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. We believe AI is doing for technology creation what the internet did for information, YouTube did for media, and social media did for influence — democratizing who gets to build and what they can build. That means associations and event teams can now access tools that were previously out of reach. And we're building them. Bootstrapped. Independent. 25 years inside the industry. 📧 dave@soma-media.com 🌐 soma-media.com
