About Sorondo Projects

Sorondo Projects is a contemporary project space on Trafalgar Street in Barcelona supporting young and emerging artists. The gallery fosters an inclusive artistic community where diverse voices engage with questions of identity, belonging, and difference through lived experience. With a particular commitment to Latin American and diasporic perspectives, its program highlights practices rooted in cultural and material contexts. Sorondo places strong emphasis on the act of making, with process-based practices central to its curatorial approach. The gallery is drawn to works where materials act as storytellers, carrying histories, tensions, and emotional weight, often resulting in abstract forms that invite intuitive and sensorial engagement. Through exhibitions and ongoing dialogue, Sorondo Projects creates a space for exchange, reflection, and shared learning, where art becomes a way to better understand both the self and the world.
