About Sorora Medical and Laser

Sorora Medical and Skin was founded by Dr. Sandeep Basanti, an engaging and multi-faceted General Practitioner with 6+ years of industry experience, paired with recent education and experience in Practical Dermatology. She started her career in the Fraser Valley in 2015. In 2019, after the birth of her first child she noticed a significant gap in the care that Fraser Valley residents were experiencing for skin pathology services, including quite common skin conditions such as skin cancers, acne, and hair loss. That’s when she decided to do more intensive training in skin pathologies. She completed her post graduate diploma in dermatology from Cardiff University in 2020 and shortly after finished a certificate program in dermascopy (the use of magnification to assess moles/skin conditions).
