About Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC
Southeast Communities Rail Partnership is a Community Interest Company working to connect communities to their railways. We work on nine Community Rail lines. Each line has a local steering group which approves the annual Line Action Plan and works closely with the Line Officer to deliver the Action Plan. The Line Steering Groups meet regularly including an annual meeting when local stakeholders are invited to presentations and discussions about the activity along their lines. We work in partnership with train operators, Network Rail, local authorities, National Parks, active travel organisations (promoting walking, cycling, biking and bus use), community groups, volunteers and others. Our education team teach youngsters and others about how to travel safely and responsibly by holding workshops in schools and taking people on escorted train trips.
