About Southern Texas PGA

The Southern Texas PGA is a member-based organization dedicated to serving more than 1,000 PGA of America Members and Associates, growing the game through impactful programs, and elevating the profession of golf across the region. As one of 41 Sections of the PGA of America, we proudly support PGA Professionals who are the backbone of the golf industry. Our PGA Members and Associates are world-class leaders in golf operations, teaching and coaching, executive management, and player development. Representing over 350 facilities throughout Southern Texas, our Members wear the PGA badge with pride and work every day to grow interest, participation, and excellence in the game. Headquartered in Spring, TX, the Southern Texas PGA supports seven metropolitan areas—Austin, Beaumont, Bryan/College Station, Corpus Christi, Houston, Rio Grande Valley, and San Antonio—through education, tournaments, career development, employment opportunities, and the promotion of our Members. In addition to serving our Members, the Southern Texas PGA manages its 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, PGA REACH Southern Texas, which exists to positively impact lives through the game of golf. Formed in 1994, PGA REACH Southern Texas annually serves thousands of individuals and communities by connecting PGA Professionals with those seeking growth, opportunity, and wellness. PGA REACH Southern Texas focuses on four core pillars: Junior Golf – Creating lifelong golfers through inclusive programs and tournaments for juniors of all skill levels. College Scholarships – Supporting students as they pursue higher education through meaningful financial assistance. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) – Introducing golf to Veterans and Active-Duty Military to enhance physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being through free, PGA-led programming. Employment Opportunities – Providing internships and career pathways through PGA WORKS and industry partnerships.
