This term describes the complex task of finding a balance between energy security, affordability, and sustainability. The Energy Trilemma is an ongoing and complex challenge for the UK, with no easy solutions. Each aspect of the Trilemma is crucial for our nation’s energy future, with new approaches required for government and the industry. There is a wide scope for involvement of SPE members in tackling these challenges, so I encourage everyone to contribute their unique perspectives and expertise. Membership: If you are involved in the Energy Industry and live in or around London then be sure to join SPE and the London Section. In person and virtual events plus social evenings take place regularly. Student membership is free and proudly sponsored by Chevron. There is also additional technical access benefits for PhD students. We welcome cooperation with Career Development Professionals to assist in enhancing the industry skills.
