We the Spectra World Trading Company of Saudi Arabia collaborated with BOYA Lighting Co. Ltd which was established in 2003 when seasoned researchers & professionals from electronics & electrical domains joined hands together to come up with cost-effective & environment-friendly indoor & outdoor third-generation lighting solutions. The major emphasis was not only to reduce one-time investment upon purchase of these solutions but also to remarkably reduce the recurring costs of electricity usage. Another apprehension was to eliminate the hazardous emissions caused by traditional lighting solutions. To come up with a series of products for indoor & outdoor lighting that would not be much higher in price as compared to traditional lighting solutions, dramatically cut down electricity usage costs, and must be environment friendly, was a tough say. Research on several alternatives was carried out. The stand-alone solutions powered by solar cells or windmills were extremely expensive hence making them almost impossible for large-scale implementations. By the mid of 2008, it was concluded that the only way to achieve these targets was by the use of LED-based solutions for indoor & outdoor lightings on direct AC voltages. After a series of research trials & experimentations carried out in several areas of Pakistan with LED lights now we have more than 50 installations sites in Asia.
