About SPOR Evidence Alliance

The Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) Evidence Alliance is a pan-Canadian research initiative established in 2017 to address gaps in the production of decision-maker driven knowledge synthesis, as well as development, distribution, and adoption of guidelines in clinical and public health practices. The aim of the initiative is to foster a collaborative and coordinated approach to building a patient-oriented learning and responsive health system in Canada. The SPOR Evidence Alliance consists of a Canada-wide partnership between researchers, patients and the public, healthcare providers, and health system decision-makers to increase the visibility and uptake of Canadian research. Our 450+ network of researchers, trainees, patient partners, and knowledge users stakeholders is led by Dr. Andrea Tricco and 13 principal investigators from across Canada.
