About Spot Matching System

The Spot Matching System (SMS) is a unique, digital 21st Century Colour Matching System / Colour Palette, consisting of 6 seperate colour palettes, each consisting of 2.607 colours - in total 15.642 colours, which can be used consistently and safely, even for side-by-side comparison for CMYK printing on coated and uncoated paper (to Fogra or GRACOL/G7 standards) as well as on digital displays for online viewing and for Television and Cinema. Each system/colour palette (Standard, ECO, MAX or SuperMAX version) is delivered in PDF and ASE, sRGB format for easy handling in most commercially available graphic apps (Adobe, Affinity, CorelDraw) and the colours can easily be converted to the destination gamut by the user, - see training videos at https://www.spotmatchingsystem.com/info. Brand owners, Design Agencies and Printshops can either use one of the 2.607 named colours of each colour palette or mix their own SMS colours and once done, either convert their SMS colours by themselves to CMYK or ECG, buy services, products or colour variants from Spot-Nordic or optionally subscribe to SMS for full service and colour support. The Spot Matching System was created by Mr. Ingi Karlsson, an Icelandic printer and Ugra Certified Expert #1, to help brands achieve colour consistency of their brand colours in all media - v.s. just one media, as is the case with older colour matching systems in the market. The Spot Matching System is distributed and maintained by his company, Spot-Nordic (www.spot-nordic.com).
