About Sreepur Village, Bangladesh

'Sreepur Village, Bangladesh' is a UK based charity that runs and funds a women and children's village in rural Bangladesh. Sreepur Village works with abused, abandoned, widowed, and divorced single mothers and their children to give them the health, knowledge and skills they need to function independently in society. At the moment we support around 120 families and 350 people at the Village. We also run our SUCCESS project in Dhaka, a day drop-in centre working in partnership with families and schools to support children from local slums who are at risk of dropping out of education. As a grass roots organisation we respond to local need and run other related programmes supporting vulnerable children. We provide safety, a loving environment, food, clothing, education, and livelihood training so that the women who come to us can look forward to independent lives in their communities.
