Das BIGEST – Bildungsinstitut für Berufe im Gesundheitswesen der St. Elisabeth-Stiftung übernimmt die Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung für das Katholische Klinikum Bochum und dessen Kooperationspartner. Bildung meint für uns einen eigenverantwortlichen Prozess, der Selbstentfaltung und Selbstbestimmung ermöglicht. Wir sehen unsere Aufgabe darin, die Persönlichkeit jedes Einzelnen zu entwickeln. Der Ausbildungsbereich umfasst die Pflegeausbildung, Hebammenausbildung und die Physiotherapieausbildung mit zurzeit über 500 Ausbildungsplätzen. Weitere Zusammenführungen und eine Erhöhung der Ausbildungskapazitäten sind geplant.
