About St Peter's & St Paul's Marlborough Trust

St Peter's Marlborough Trust is a registered charity preserving and activating one of Wiltshire's most significant historic Grade II* listed buildings, on Marlborough High Street. Founded in 1978, the Trust's mission is to maintain the building in perpetuity and make it a living asset for the community, not a relic. Today, St Peter's operates as a thriving arts and heritage centre at the heart of one of England's finest market towns. What happens here St Peter's hosts an ambitious programme of events year-round, classical music, folk, comedy, craft, and community gatherings, alongside regular tower tours that welcome hundreds of primary school children, residents, and visitors each year. The building serves as a meeting place for groups including Parkinson's UK, Age UK, the Marlborough History Society, and the Women's Institute. Why it matters With only 5.8% of listed buildings in England holding Grade II* status, St Peter's is a rare and irreplaceable asset. The Trust is committed to securing its long-term future through responsible stewardship, active community use, and sustainable fundraising, including an ongoing Roof Appeal to address urgent conservation needs. Get involved We welcome enquiries from potential trustees, volunteers, funders, event partners, and anyone who shares our belief that historic buildings thrive when people use them. 📍 High Street, Marlborough, Wiltshire, SN8 1HQ 🌐 stpetersmarlborough.org.uk Registered Charity No. 275557 | Company No. 01352725
