About St. Vincent de Paul Tacoma, Pierce County

St. Vincent de Paul of Tacoma-Pierce County is a local, non-profit, faith-based organization, serving people in need since 1926. We welcome everyone with compassion, regardless of race, religion or orientation. We help without judgment and a deep regard for our shared humanity. Many people know us for our thrift stores, but our mission is much broader: We help people struggling to pay for basic needs. We help housed and unhoused persons with financial support and resources. We assist the Hispanic community and immigrants. We do street outreach to provide resources and services to our unhoused community. We provide clothing and household goods for people making a fresh start. We hire people to work in our thrift stores, many of whom are re-entering the workforce following personal crises. In 2023, we opened our Community Resource Center adjacent to the Thrift Store and provide case work, resources and support to our neighbors in need via walk-in Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-3pm. Annually, we provide more than $680,000 in direct financial assistance to more than 19,000 people in our community. Our generous donors and volunteers are the lifeblood of St. Vinnies! Please join us.
