About Stanford Social Entrepreneurial Students' Association (SENSA)
We aim to tackle global challenges by advancing the field of social entrepreneurship. Our mission is to empower social entrepreneurs through education, mentorship, networking, and the incubation of ideas from their earliest stages. We focus on four core initiatives: VIP (Very Impactful People) Our weekly speaker series during Fall and Spring Quarters highlights social entrepreneurs from diverse sectors—nonprofit, investing, academia, and more. VIP inspires students to explore social entrepreneurship and aims to expand its reach both within and beyond Stanford. LABS The SENSA Labs Team runs a well-established incubator course each Spring. For three years, Labs Associates have designed the syllabus, connected with leaders in social entrepreneurship, drawn on our mentor and alumni network, and served as TAs. The program provides students with hands-on experience in turning ideas into action. FELLOWSHIP Through partnerships with leading social entrepreneurship organizations across the country, the Fellowship Team offers paid summer opportunities to Stanford undergraduates. Fellowships span roles from software engineering to business development, giving students the chance to contribute to organizations driving systemic change while gaining professional skills, deepening their understanding of social issues, and exploring the Social E ecosystem. LEARNING The Learning Team educates members through case studies, presentations, and campus-wide events. Its mission is to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the diverse components of social entrepreneurship. By fostering strong foundations, the Learning Team helps future leaders refine their ideas and strengthen their ability to create lasting impact.
