You have likely been affected by suicide - in your workplace or perhaps your personal life. Maybe you are a suicide survivor. Life is beautiful, and life feels unbearably heavy too sometimes. Sadly, suicide has touched most of us, and that. sudden loss leaves behind pain like no other, coupled with eternally unanswered questions and often confusing mixed feelings of deep guilt, regret, anger and sadness. What many people come to learn, tragically *after* a suicide, is that MOST SUICIDES ARE PREVENTABLE, through open, honest, real, raw, compassionate conversation and through meaningful connections with humans and services that care and can help. Start the Conversation Ltd was founded by Rose Rowkins, a suicide prevention trainer with 10+ years experience. Rose, along with a team of fellow associate trainers and collaborators, is on a mission to empower business and community leaders to talk about suicide with “the three Cs”: confidence, clarity and compassion. Compassion for other people, of course, and also equally for ourselves. Because self-care isn’t selfish, it’s life-saving. Start the Conversation Ltd offers training from 90 minutes online (“TAS:10”, Talking about Suicide: 10 Tools, which was created with Ann Feloy following the death of her son Oliver by suicide) to the powerful two-day workshop “ASIST” from LivingWorks. Rose is also asked to write bespoke training sessions and to consult on (and support cast and crew of) films and theatre with themes of suicide.
