About StateElevate
At StateElevate, it's not about where you're from but where you want to go. We intend to use our expertise to help state-school students from the North East of England apply for top universities. We work collaboratively with schools and handle everything application based. We offer free, detailed support on personal statements, admissions tests and mock interviews. Mentorship is led by an undergraduate mentor in the field of study of the applicant. For the 2025-2026 academic year, StateElevate has over 60 mentees, from schools spanning the North East from Hartlepool and Stockton, to Sunderland, Washington and Birtley. We currently work with around 45 mentors from a wide range of subject areas and backgrounds. At StateElevate, we will harness aspiration and ambition and act as a bridge between state school students across the North East and universities. There is more to do to end the gap between where you come from and what you can achieve. Working together with schools and institutions such as Pembroke College, Oxford, StateElevate is on a mission to ensure that success is determined by ambition and skill, not background.
