About Stefanie Mellano Translations

🙋🏻♀️ I'm Stefanie, an experienced translator, subtitler and voiceover artist working from Italian to English. I grew up in Surrey, England, just on the outskirts of London, and moved to a tiny village near Cuneo in the north of Italy in 2007. I'm half-Italian, as you might have guessed from my surname, and I've been immersed in the Italian language and culture since I was born. 🍷🍫 I have two young children to keep me on my toes and stay super organised, and I absolutely love reading, wine (usually a nice glass of Barbera Superiore), and chocolate – even better if all at the same time. 🧡 I love my job and the fact that it allows me to help people express themselves and communicate perfectly and correctly in English, and it gives me the chance to always learn something new. 🤩 As well as subtitling and voiceover, I specialise in tourism, business, food and drink. I really enjoy and care about these areas, and I feel all mighty and powerful when I can help businesses sell or advertise their products to a much wider client base and tell their stories. I thrive on making media content more accessible through subtitles or translating for dubbing purposes, and I even enjoy the challenges that come with it – whether that be space constraints and keeping things concise, or translating slang and plays on words (just picture me doing a little happy dance). While a lot of what I do is all hush-hush, I can brag about a few things I’ve worked on. Have you seen any of these? Check them out here: https://subtle-subtitlers.org.uk/my-database/ 🫵🏻 Now, that's enough about me. What about you? ❓ Do you need natural-reading English subtitles for your Italian or English video content? ❓Do you need a British English voiceover for video or other material? ❓Do you need your Italian content translated into English by an experienced ITI-registered translator? 📧 For all this and any questions, why not get in touch with me at [email protected]
