About Stichting Meesteropleiding Coupeur
De Meesteropleiding Coupeur is een stichting met als doel om het hoogwaardig coupeurvakmanschap terug te brengen in Nederland. Dit doet de stichting door meester-coupeurs op te leiden binnen de driejarige dagopleiding zodat die hun vak op hoog kwaliteitsniveau kunnen uitoefenen op ateliers van theatergezelschappen, van couturiers of zich als zelfstandig coupeur kunnen vestigen. De stichting biedt ook dag- en avondcursussen aan, waarmee al gevestigde coupeurs zich verder kunnen bekwamen in hun vak. De stichting heeft geen winstoogmerk. Grote namen uit de mode- en theaterwereld hebben zich vanaf het begin aan de opleiding verbonden. De Nederlandse Opera, Het Nationale Ballet, Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Stage Entertainment, Het Internationaal Danstheater en de couture ontwerpers Mart Visser, Frans Molenaar, Jan Taminiau, Monique Collignon en Iris van Herpen zijn nauw bij de Meesteropleiding Coupeur betrokken.
