Stichting Surftherapie.nl richt zich op een uitdagende vorm van sport na een revalidatie proces. Deelnemers gaan met surfboard of Stand Up Paddle-board(SUPs) de zee op. Dat is niet alleen leuk maar draagt vaak ook bij aan beter functioneren. Surftherapie in een uitdagende activiteit in een uitdagende omgeving. Bewegen door het zand, het water, de golven en alle inspanningen om op het board te komen zijn fysiek zeer intensief. Op het water lukt het niet om na te denken wat je moet doen. Om op het board te blijven, word je gedwongen om gebruik te maken van automatische reacties. Je ziet dat de bewegingen veel beter en soepeler gaan.
