About Students Dedicated to Innovation

The SDI Team (Students Dedicated to Innovation) is the premier student-led initiative at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Department of Informatics & Telecommunications. Our Mission: To bridge the gap between academic theory and the dynamic Greek tech industry. We empower computer science students by providing the practical experience, professional network, and community support they need to launch standout careers. What We Do: • Hands-On Tech Projects: We undertake real-world software development projects, often in collaboration with NGOs and non-profits, applying technologies like web development, data analysis, and cloud computing. • Industry Immersion: We organize visits to leading tech companies, giving members an inside look at workplaces, development processes, and career paths. • Expert-Led Learning: We host workshops, seminars, and tech talks by industry professionals, covering cutting-edge tools, soft skills, and career guidance beyond the standard curriculum. Our Value Proposition: → For Students: Gain practical skills, build a project portfolio, expand your professional network, and connect with like-minded peers. → For Companies & Professionals: Discover talented, proactive students, showcase your workplace, and contribute to shaping the next generation of Greek tech talent. We are more than a club; we are a launchpad. #SDITeam #NKUA #TechCommunity #GreekTech #HandsOnLearning
