About Studio CABAN

Grounded on their academic and professional research about spatial experiences, the phenomena of mood and atmosphere, CABAN captivate heightened aesthetic perception through materiality and light. How to anticipate authentic sensations and meaningful experiences with the physicalities of the built environment? How to create places that are reflections and stages for a person’s activities and desires, and a community’s interactions? For them, architecture creates places that are rooted in the intrinsic qualities of a local culture. Designing with the place’s specifics, both the intangible - the memories, the cultural narratives, the lifestyles - and the physical - the environment, the climate and availability of materials. Grounded in the experience of a place, building a fresh, nuanced, contemporary lifestyle of a place. CABAN believe that the momentary, intuitive idea is as critical for the design process as structured investigation by a team of like-passioned professionals. Creative moments spark process and process leads to well-founded, consistent concepts. They are team players and lead teams, as a initiators, leading with narratives that set poetics and visions, and engage the dynamics of cooperation. They are being guided by the flow of ideas and the idea of flow. CABAN are passionate about hospitality’s inert power to initiate lasting and meaningful memories in a person’s life. They are inspired by the design process ranging from master planning, to architecture, interiors and even collaterals, with ideas transcending scales for the creation of a consistent environment. Designing hospitality means to offer an alternative world - the one where we explore and expand our personalities towards a more authentic self. Let’s set the special spatial atmosphere to stage this soulful journey.
