About StudioLux Architectural Lighting Design

StudioLux is a woman-owned architectural lighting design firm based in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializing in hospitality and luxury residential environments. The studio focuses on lighting that complements architecture, defines atmosphere, and enhances the experience of a space. Founded by Chief Lighting Design Officer Carolyn Harris, StudioLux approaches each project through close collaboration with architects, interior designers, and developers. The firm brings a strong understanding of how light interacts with materials, form, and human perception, allowing lighting to become an integrated element of the overall design rather than an afterthought. StudioLux has particular expertise in hospitality environments where lighting plays a central role in shaping mood, guiding guest experience, and reinforcing the identity of a property. The firm brings the same level of care and precision to high-end residential work, where lighting becomes part of the architecture and the rhythm of daily life. In addition to design services, StudioLux offers designer-led procurement and specification control, helping ensure that lighting design intent is maintained throughout the construction process. By remaining involved from concept through fixture specification and procurement coordination, the firm helps reduce substitutions and preserve the integrity of the design. StudioLux collaborates closely with architects, interior designers, developers, and operators to deliver lighting solutions that support both design vision and project execution. With experience in complex hospitality environments, the firm balances aesthetics, technical performance, budget, and constructability to deliver lighting that enhances both guest experience and operational success.
