The disposal of Municipal waste is a serious concern in India and across the Globe. New technologies have been developed to minimize the adverse effect on the environment. Currently, the widely accepted technology used for the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and Bio-Medical Waste (BMW) and Plastic Waste disposal is incineration, however, incinerators designed poorly, releases extremely toxic compounds (chlorinated dioxins and furans) therefore, facing strong opposition from various organizations. In India to introduce a cleaner and safer technology, FCIPT, Institute for Plasma Research had taken initiatives to develop Plasma Pyrolysis technology with financial support from Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. Plasma Pyrolysis is the technology where extremely high temperature is produced using Plasma torch in oxygen-starved environment which destroy Solid waste efficiently and eco-friendly manner. Suneunoia Energy Infratech Pvt Ltd entered into JV with Bhakti Energy is the lone official licence of Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) PLASMA TECH. Suneunoia Energy Infratech Pvt Ltd. is running 2 Pilot projects in Gujarat for MSW management using Plasma Pyrolysis Technology. Suneunoia Energy Infratech Pvt Ltd is aggressively working on making Plasma pyrolysis technology economically viable. SUNEUNOIA was founded in 2016 with a vision to promote new technologies to cater the Waste Disposal solutions and provide Green Energy. SUNEUNOIA joined hands with BHAKTI ENERGY to fulfil this goal as a Technical Joint Venture Partner in 2021. BHAKTI ENERGY was already in the development stage since it was founded Mr Alpesh Vora in 2006. Mr Vora is an avid Technocrat having expertise in biomass gasification with a specialisation to produce energy from agro-waste based on research and development in the area of biomass gasification, solid waste gasification and Plasma Pyrolysis.
