About Supportive Solutions, LLC

Supportive Solutions is a private mental health and recovery counseling center that uses a Solution Focused Approach, which means creating a partnership with you and trusting that the expert on you, your family, and your problem is YOU! After carefully listening to your perspective and story, goals will be developed collaboratively with you along with an action plan broken in to small steps so you can move at a pace that is comfortable for you. The focus of sessions will be finding what is already going well in your life (no matter how big or small) and building on that success while using your strengths to overcome challenges. You will be encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings and the plan will be developed based on your unique situation and needs. Some helpful interventions that may be used in our plan include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), eliminating negative beliefs while promoting positive beliefs, relaxation skills to manage stress and anxiety, expressive therapies such as art, play, and story telling, and examining how your thoughts lead to emotions lead to behavior and creating healthy patterns (also known as Cognitive Behavior Therapy).
