About Suriname Chartered Accountants Institute
The Suriname Chartered Accountants Institute of (SCAI) was established as a public entity on October 25, 2018. Before this the institute was a not for profit association (SUVA) that aimed to serve the public interest by advancing the accountancy profession in accordance with international standards and best practices. Since the establishment of SCAI, the institute has been challenged to set up a structure that has to be on the level of the regional institute. In order for this to happen the institute has to restructure certain elements that will also put us in line with the commitments towards the IFAC. Committed to advancing the institute through developing professional relationships with its members, regional and international institutes, the institute will have to prioritize the focus to certain areas that will enhance the institute and ensure its future
