About Sustainable Organic Urban Lifestyle (SOUL)

Sustainable Organic Urban Lifestyle (SOUL) is a cooperative of urban farmers and ecologists. It is a social enterprise that promotes sustainable lifestyles and flourishing local economies through a growing community of environmentally conscious families and businesses. The idea is to bring back nature and agriculture to the center of our households and societies, even in the urbanised and globalised world we live in today. SOUL approaches and technologies assist members to locally produce and consume their food, energy and other basic needs in ways that are healthier for the body, society and the planet. The organization has its roots in Johannesburg, with a diverse group of families and friends from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. It has now expanded to include members operating in different countries of Africa and Europe. SOUL mission is to contribute to a healthy, sustainable and just collective future where the spiritual, social, economic and environmental well-being of all peoples is catered for.
