Svitanok NYC is committed to long-term support for Ukraine through sustained government relations & strategic advocacy, combatting Russian disinformation, and community unification & empowerment. We work directly with members of Congress to advance pro-Ukraine legislation, support the introduction of bills that strengthen U.S.– Ukraine partnership, and ensure policymakers understand the needs of Ukrainians at home and abroad. Svitanok was founded in May 2023 by a passionate group of Ukrainians who had been leading the protest movement in New York City since February 2022. When the full-scale invasion began, thousands gathered in Times Square to protest against Russia’s aggression, igniting a new wave of activism among those who have witnessed the war’s impact firsthand. 501(c)(3)
