About Synergy Consulting Engineers

Synergy Consulting Engineers is a full-service MEP engineering and sustainability consulting firm based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 2019 by Steve Pinto, PE, and Lorey Flick, PE, HBDP, LEED AP, the firm delivers mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering for projects across education, healthcare, hospitality, commercial, multifamily, and historic preservation sectors. Our core services include MEP design, fire protection design, energy modeling, building commissioning, sustainability consulting, lighting design, technology and low-voltage systems design, and construction administration. We also integrate modern infrastructure solutions including EV charging design, solar energy systems, and IT/AV design. Every project is guided by life-cycle cost analysis and a commitment to balancing functionality, aesthetics, and long-term operational efficiency. We work hand-in-hand with architects, owners, and contractors from concept through construction. Our team brings particular depth in historic preservation and adaptive reuse — a critical differentiator in the New Orleans market — delivering MEP solutions that respect the character of historic structures while meeting modern performance standards. Our designs are people-centric, prioritizing occupant comfort, building resilience, and sustainable outcomes. Since our founding, Synergy has completed over 100 projects across Louisiana. Our clients include Tulane University, Xavier University, Southern University at New Orleans, Orleans Parish School Board, and the Morial Convention Center. Project types range from university labs and libraries to historic renovations, restaurants, breweries, multifamily housing, and government facilities. Let's build something.
