TABATEQ jobs and careers

About TABATEQ

If you operate remote sites across Africa—mining operations, water treatment plants, manufacturing facilities—your biggest challenge is maintaining reliable wireless connectivity in harsh conditions without vendor dependency. Legacy systems lock you into proprietary protocols and perpetual support contracts. To succeed in African environments with increasing automation demands, you need solutions that: - Integrate with existing SCADA and PLC systems using industry-standard protocols - Enable your team to maintain and expand systems independently - Provide accessible field engineering support across Sub-Saharan Africa We've delivered this for 17+ years across Sub-Saharan Africa. Our founder, Willem Krige, built Tabateq on one principle: empower customers to own their systems, not imprison them with vendor lock-in. Field engineers train customer teams to specify, maintain and troubleshoot independently—reducing long-term dependency and costs. We deliver radio telemetry and industrial wireless solutions for Africa's demanding conditions. Wireless I/O, gateways, cellular routers, SCADA integration—using open protocols like Modbus, DNP3, and MQTT SparkplugB. Client results: - Engineering teams maintaining systems independently after training 99.9% uptime in harsh environments - Decades of operational life from premium equipment We serve: Mining, manufacturing, utilities, agriculture—working closely with system integrators, resellers and distributors who bring deep application expertise to their customers. We deliver: Radio telemetry, wireless gateways, cellular routers with MQTT, comprehensive field engineering support, and training programmes for both end-user teams and channel partners.
