About Taking Strides Children's Foundation
Taking Strides is a non-profit, student-run organization that looks to improve physical literacy of children with disabilities using weekly gym and pool programs. Employing an one-on-one approach with student volunteers, Taking Strides provides a cost-effective program to ease the financial burden of parents with children with disabilities. Started at the University of Calgary, Taking Strides currently has provided volunteer opportunities for 100 students and enrolled ~250 children.
