About TeachScribe

TeachScribe is a simple way for teaching staff to capture child activity observations without breaking the flow of teaching. Staff can put the iPad aside and speak observations into a lanyard-worn, push-to-talk microphone as soon as they see something of note. TeachScribe then transcribes what they’ve said and associates the observation with the right child and the relevant learning goals, saving it to that child’s profile in our app for later review. Because observations are recorded while learning is happening, there’s less paperwork after school for teachers and fewer details are lost. Teachers tell us this in-the-moment capture removes a mental backlog, allowing them to be more present in the classroom, leading to more frequent and accurate observations, while reducing workload. As staff speak observations instead of typing, they can better keep their attention on the children.
