We hope to address this skills gap by educating students with relevant material and hands-on experience. The education system was created in 1892, and we’re focused on continuing to improve that system for students in the years to come. Education reform through new STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs is going to help students and teachers continue to educate the 21st Century workforce. A STEM education is not just teaching math or science; it is a way of teaching. Rather than basing instruction on a test, a STEM class focuses on hands-on learning. Students participate in an activity while learning science, math, and other skills.
