The Teddy Foundation is a grassroots charity based in New Zealand, created to stand beside pregnant parents who have to leave home to access specialist maternity care. Too many families face long travel, isolation, and uncertainty at a time that should feel safe and supported. Our vision is simple but powerful: Every child, regardless of where they live in Aotearoa New Zealand, enters the world with the best possible chance of survival and wellbeing, supported by fair access to timely and essential health care. We are building practical solutions, strong partnerships, and a nationwide pregnancy directory to make support visible and accessible. Because distance shouldn’t decide outcomes.
