About Tembe Elephant Park

Tembe Elephant Park ® offers intimate encounters with some of the largest elephants in Africa. The 300km2 reserve, located in the Republic of South Africa between KwaZulu-Natal and Mozambique, is home to all the "Big 5" and is the ancestral home of the Tembe tribe who own and co-manage both the Park and the Tembe Elephant Lodge. Tembe offers an intimate game encounter - with just one tented lodge in the whole reserve. Access for day visitors is limited to 5 4x4 vehicles so there is no queue to view. Tembe is one of the most affordable full board safari lodges located within a Big 5 game reserve in Africa with rates starting at just R2,180 pp sharing per night including accommodation all meals and 2 daily guided game drives on open vehicles.
